We already have a Cat we adopted named "Mochi" and I decided for us to get a dog, since my girlfriend never had a pet growing up! It's pretty much a "graduation" gift for her finishing college! :)
Some Stats:
- Apartment/Condo: Approx 650sq ft. 1 bedroom 1 bath (small, I know!)
- Existing pets: 2 years old (as of 6/16/2011)
- Both of us are/will be working full time.
I know our apartment is small, and we are planning on either renting a larger townhouse closer to her new job, or perhaps even purchasing one instead. However, the area is nice with plenty of parks around, and commute is "OK" to work, but the kicker is the rent is so cheap for the area that it makes sense to stay a little longer and get some mass savings $$$ for a new house down payment! But for now, I figure we can go through the experience of raising a Siberian Husky in an apartment and share our experiences with others in a similar situation.
